A grant was awarded to Mr and Mrs Dixon to fund the replacement of windows and the entrance door door at their home at Foulbridge with uPVC double glazed units.
The decision to replace the windows was made following a comprehensive whole house energy survey carried out by Tina Holt of ECOHouse Net. This survey identified a number of measures that could be done to reduce energy use in the home.

Mr Richard Dixon
As the entrance door and a number of the original windows were draughty and in need of repair the Dixon’s decided to apply to the Energy Conservation Fund for a grant to replace them with more energy efficient ones.
The new installations have improved thermal comfort, are helping to cut energy bills, reduce noise and improve security for the householders. They also increase the value of this beautiful stone-built property.
